BP-ER™

BP-ER™ is a non-fortified solid Ready-to-Use Emergency Food which is used in the first phase of disaster relief, emergency and preparedness. It is suitable for both adults and children from 6 months or older. 

BP-ER™ is a ready-to-eat food especially suited in situation with water scarcity, due to moderate protein level. BP-ER™ can be eaten as a bar straight from the package or crumbled into boiled drinking water and eaten as porridge. 

The shelf life of BP-ER™ is 7 years when stored at room temperature or below. This enables people and organizations to make long-term planning and establish preparedness stocks. The optimal logistical properties secure an easy, safe and efficient transportation, distribution, usage and storage under extreme conditions.   

A 20’ container holds 36,000 units of BP-ER™ representing a minimum level of nutrient supply for 10 000 adults for one week.  

BP-ER™ Compact Food should be used particularly in the following situations: 

For usage in the first phase of disaster relief operations during natural- or man-made disasters, before local foods can be distributed and prepared. 

• BP-ER™ can be air dropped from different altitudes, also without parachute.  Drops made from 600 feet without parachute show no significant damage to the product
